The running plan today was to do between 5 and 7 miles at recovery pace. Turns out I was hitting an 8 min/mile pace again, despite the 86 degree heat. Didn’t last seven miles though – just five and the same course as yesterday (around Colby Lake). Finished 5 miles in about 42 minutes, with my cadence around 81-83 later in the run. Felt good about today and yesterday.
I’ll miss running in the heat, but am looking forward to getting back onto the trails.
